German astronomers have found the youngest planet

German astronomers have managed to find the youngest of planets known to a science - it is only at a forming stage.
Observations over an early stage of planet’s formation can give scientists the information on origin and development of planetary systems.

It can throw light and on the past of Solar system.

Details of the opening made by German scientists are published in Nature magazine.

The young planet found by astronomers revolves around a star for 3,56 days. TW Hydrae - is a young star, by estimations, its age makes from eight to 10 million years.

Till now it was considered, that planets are formed of gas and dust clouds in the course of several billions years. However, according to the German scientists, their opening shows, that this process can take less time – only 10 million years.


In 2025 Japan will launch a super-high-speed train on a magnetic pillow

Japan has begun construction of the first commercial line for super-high-speed trains on a magnetic pillow.
Trains on a new line will use magnetic levitation technology - the magnetic field allows train to soar above a line and due to it to move much faster than a usual train.

Now in the world operates one such passenger magnetic-levitation railway line. It is located in Shanghai and stretches out for 30,5 kilometers. The train goes on it with speed of 430 kilometers per hour.

The length of a new Japanese line will make 290 kilometers, and according to experts’ calculations, trains with the linear electric motor will make about 500 kilometers per hour.

Railway company Central Japan Railway Co which will do the work and will spend for the project about 45 billion dollars.


Iranian inventor has created a speaking book

Iranian inventor Ramin Sedigi has invented a speaking book – a lightweight electronic device which is able to say words and even to describe the images at a contact with stylus, informs Iranian agency ISNA.
The device is equipped with 512 MB of internal memory, an audio-output, and also SD-slot, which allows to contain up to 60 electronic books, downloaded through USB-connection.

Author of the development informs that his book can be used to teach foreign languages children in the age of 4 - 16 years.

The device will be put on sale at the beginning of 2008.

Chinese have produced the most high-speed train in the world

This train’s speed-limit is 300 km/hour, informs agency Sinhua.
It is known, that the weight of each car made from an aluminium alloy is approximately 7 tons. The train has been independently developed by the Chinese experts on the basis of generalization of the foreign pilot production of trains with speed-limit in 200 km/hour.

It is necessary to note, that China was entered the group of four countries which are able to develop and build independently trains with speed-limit in 300 km / hour.

Now in China actively operate high-speed trains which can accelerate to 250 km / hour.


China has come out on top in terms of connections to the broadband Internet

China has come out on top in the world by amount of the connected subscribers to the broadband Internet, transfers agency Xinhua referring to words of the computer science deputy minister Jiang Yaoping.
122 million people, living in China, have broadband access to the Internet, which is the biggest index in the world.

It is necessary to note, 60 % of the Chinese Internet serfers have broadband access and third of all new such connections in 2007 has fallen at inhabitants of the rural areas.

According to the information of Point-topic, in the second quarter of 2007 China took the second place (59,5 million people). The first place belonged to the United States of America with 63,4 million connections. The third place took Japan, he fourth - Germany, and the fifth - Great Britain


In January Tata Motors will present the cheapest car in the world

In January, 2008 during Auto Expo show Indian motor-car manufacturer Tata Motors will present the vehicle for 2500 dollars.
According to experts, the price for the automobile can increase at the most up to 3000 dollars only because of expensive raw materials.

Production of the given model will start not earlier than the middle of 2008. Though for the first time Tata has declared intention to put on the market the cheapest automobile called One Lakh this summer.

Now more and more motor-car manufacturers aspire to enter the markets of poor countries with cheap automobiles which will be available to the needy population. For example, such companies as, Renault, Nissan and Indian Bajaj Auto have already expressed desire to create the automobile at the price of three thousand dollars.

Scientists have managed to place on such a tiny area the text of the TANAKH - the Old Testament of the Bible. And now to read it, one should use a microscope.

Work of the Israeli scientists, reminding hieroglyphs on a rice kernel, is done with the help of the focused ion beam.

Experts mark that they have created such unique Bible to draw attention of the youth to nano-technologies. In fact the method created by them can help to store plenty of text and other information in the most compact kind.


Intel has created the tiniest store in the world

Corporation Intel has created the smallest solid-state storage device in the world - Z-P140, which weight makes hardly more half of a gram, informs edition Ubergizmo.

The sizes of a novelty make 12 x 18 x 1,39 millimeters and do not exceed the sizes of 1-cent coin. Now Z-P140 can contain 2 GB, though developers are going to make 4 GB devices by middle of 2008.

Speed of reading from the new device reaches 40 Mb / second, and recording speed - 30 Mbyte. Service life of Z-P140 makes about 5 years.

Experts believe that the novelty will find the application in portable devices with low power consumption.
