Global warming, which is recently much spoken about, in opinion of scientists, can become the reason of increased death rate during the summer period all over the world.
The matter is that in result of global increase of temperatures, heat comes into regions with moderate temperature conditions and inhabitants of these areas can not resist to approaching warming of the climate because of “habit absence”.
Researchers of School of ecological health at the Harvard University consider, that by 2100 the average temperature on the Earth will increase from 1,7 up to 4,9 C.
Climatic changes, according to the Harvard experts, were the reason of death more than six and a half millions American citizens from 1989 till 2000 in fifty different cities of the USA.
Strong sudden changes of temperature conditions have also led to negative consequences in Europe - thirty five thousand persons have died on a wave of the European heat in 2003.
Earlier scientists from the Colombian University obtained the data which show that process of global warming in the future will lead to more scaled distribution of infectious diseases, and also to transfer of such diseases from hot latitudes to the regions with a moderate and cold climate.
