The American astronomers have found out the most distant and ancient galaxies
American astronomers with the help of a huge telescope could discover scintillation of the most remote and most ancient galaxies ever seen by a person that will help to find a key to the question of origin of the universe, informs Reuters referring to the statement of the scientists.
The light discovered by researchers appeared when the universe was only 500 million years old, it traveled in space for billions years, claimed Richard Ellis, the astronomer from the California Institute of Technology.
Ellis asserts, that the team of researchers saw the galaxies most remote on time, and it can help scientist to solve the secret of origin of the universe 13,5 billion years ago.
The team used a huge telescope Keck on Hawaii and luminous reflectance effect.
The effect of luminous reflectance from the remote bodies passing through gravitational field of nearby objects is known as gravitational focusing and is based on one of Einstein’s theories.
