Scientists from Fraungopher Research Institute IFAM in Ganau have developed nanoglue which can get and lose its gluing properties.
Developers inform that the idea of a novelty consists in the following: nano-particles due to the process of friction are instantly heated up, the warm spreads from a powder to glue and then within several seconds the mass hardens.
To unstick the glued together things, scientists needed influence of a high-frequency magnetic field of the same frequency, but the greater intensity.
Experts assume that the new glue will find the application in industrial production. It can be useful in motor industry due to the potential of energy economy and reduction of manufacture time. Also the new invention is of great importance when it is necessary to “connect” various materials with each other.
