Scientists discovered the new elementary particle
The international group of scientists from Enrico Fermi National accelerating laboratory (near Chicago, the USA) has declared about the opening of a new elementary particle with rather unusual properties. This particle fills a gap in the theory of standard model of universe formation.
In the second quarter of 2007, the international group of 610 experts from 88 scientific institutes from 19 countries has declared the opening of the first elementary particle consisting of quarks of all three types - “beautiful”, “bottom” and “strange” quarks.
Importance of the opening is in that, that except for other, usually elementary particles, for example proton or neutron, consist of one or two kinds of quarks.
This particle is called baryon xi-sub-b and is formed during the clashes of other particles. Then it flies only some millimeters and breaks up. Disclosure of this particle will help to understand the refinements of the processes happened after the Big explosion - the moment of universe formation.
