The most unstable star of the Galaxy is on the point of blow-up
Astronomers have conducted a number of observations over a life of one of the most unstable stars of our galaxy – Eta Kiel which is just about to turn into Supernew one.
X-ray telescope Chandra together with Hubble space telescope have received the new interesting image of processes on one of the brightest, massive and unstable of known stars.
Scientists inform, that this star, with its weight in 100-150 mass of the Sun and which is located in 7500 light years from us, will flash as a supernew one in one million years or even earlier.
It is necessary to note, that Eta Kiel has been studied for a long time. And in 1997 the American astronomers have made an opening, that this star releases ultra-violet light in very narrow frequency span that is very similar to laser emanation.
In spite of the fact that Eta Kiel will blow up not soon, to measures of a human life, experts from NASA suggest to look already now to the explosion of a massive star: on telescope Chandra’s visitors may see an animated model of this event. However, even if Supernew star flashes, it makes no danger for inhabitants of the Earth.
