Research of the American company Harris Interactive has shown, that 43 % of the American teenagers at the age of 13-17 years constantly face with new enough electronic phenomenon - cyber bullying through the Internet or with the help of other electronic devices.
Bullying implies rather wide range of actions - from threats up to sneers - which can cause a fright, humiliate or otherwise negatively influence the person.
Researchers mark that fact, that the similar phenomenon for the unknown reasons is most spread among the 15-years old teenagers - 54 % from them declared, that during the last year they at least one time faced bullying. But 17-years old young men and girls twice less informed on this problem.
American teenagers assume, that their coevals practice cyber bullying because think it amusing – according to 81 % of questioned teenagers, 64 % consider, that their coevals revenge upon someone, and 45 % assumed, that they consider their victim the chronic loser or unlucky fellow/. And the main reason why they are so active: they are not afraid of any punishment.
Researchers add, that the most reasonable idea was stated by the third of questioned teenagers. They consider that it is necessary, that Internets - forums and chats were constantly moderated.
