American company Aperio Technologies for the first time has created the digital image with one trillion points` resolution - Tera-pixel.
Aperio Technologies Company creates devices and technologies for digitization of images, made with the help of microscopes. Scanners, made by the company, are able to make pictures from microscopes with the resolution in one Gpixel less, than for a minute.
Tera-pixel digital image, which was created by Aperio Technologies, is in size of 1095630 x 939495 points. It contains 225 photocopies of a breast cancer tumor in the huge resolution. Volume of disk space which needs the file is 144 GB due to JPEG compression, while without the compression the size of a file is somewhat little less than three terabyte.
