The annual report of the economic intelligence department of Economist magazine (EUI) which estimates readiness of the world countries to use Internet - technologies, affirms that Inet helps to reduce a gap in digital technologies between the countries.
Economist annual report shows, that the Asian and African countries catch up with the largest network users, such as Denmark.
High-speed Internet now is cheaper and available almost in all countries. EUI report announced also the data on readiness of the world 69 countries to use Internet. For their estimation such factors were taken into account: the existing legislation, policy and extent of getting access to the Internet in these countries.
Many Asian and African countries have taken higher places in the comparative table due to the governmental policy directed on simplification of access to the Internet through the dedicated lines.
It is necessary to note, that EUI has changed a method of the estimation. They took into account not only the amount of phones and Internet users, but also different kinds of connection to a network, and also steps, taken by the government to encourage the Internet users.
