Scientists found a planet, potentially suitable for life
Astronomers have discovered a planet outside the Solar system, most of others resembling the Earth.
2 unknown earlier exoplanets have been noticed in an orbit of dwarf star Gliese 581, on the distance of 20,5 light years from Libra constellation. New planet was conventionally named 581с.
This opening was made by a group of the European astronomers by means of devices of the Southern European observatory which is located in Chile.
This planet revolves on the orbit around rather cool star. The temperature there practically corresponds terrestrial one.
These coincidences have suggested an idea to scientists, that there may be water, and consequently life. The weight of the discovered planet five times exceeds terrestrial one. Attractive power is 1,6 times more, than on our planet. This planet has dense layer of an atmosphere and a rocky surface.
In spite of the fact that Gliese 581 is one of the closest to the Earth stars, it is still impossible to get there during a human life.
