At 10 o’clock Greenwich Time first commercial space rocket Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) with the Italian scientific satellite onboard was successfully launched from cosmodrome Shriharikota in India.
The Indian organization of space researches has received 11 million dollars for the start of a rocket with Italian space vehicle Agile in weight of 352 kg which is intended for gathering of the information about the origin of the Universe.
Services of commercial launches are also offered by the USA, Russia, China, Ukraine and the European space agency. The volume of this market is estimated in 2,5 billion dollars each year.
For the first time launch of the rocket - carrier such as PSLV has been made in 1994. It is intended for moving satellites into a polar orbit, when the space vehicle at each revolution around the Earth passes both Poles of the planet.
