German astronomers have found the youngest planet
German astronomers have managed to find the youngest of planets known to a science - it is only at a forming stage.
Observations over an early stage of planet’s formation can give scientists the information on origin and development of planetary systems.
It can throw light and on the past of Solar system.
Details of the opening made by German scientists are published in Nature magazine.
The young planet found by astronomers revolves around a star for 3,56 days. TW Hydrae - is a young star, by estimations, its age makes from eight to 10 million years.
Till now it was considered, that planets are formed of gas and dust clouds in the course of several billions years. However, according to the German scientists, their opening shows, that this process can take less time – only 10 million years.
