Indian experts have successfully tested cryogenic rocket stage Cryogenic Upper Stage (CUS) for Indian heavy rocket-carrier GSLV, informs Indian Space Researches Agency.

During test on November, 15, 2007 the created rocket stage has worked for calculated 720 seconds.

Experts inform that stage CUS works from liquid oxygen and gaseous hydrogen and provides traction in 69,5 kN in vacuum. It is planned that the created srage will be used during start of РН GSLV-D3 planned for 2008.

It is necessary to note, that Indian rocket-carrier GSLV is intended for useful load rocketing in a geostationary orbit.
