University of Berkeley in the USA informed the creation of the smallest in the world radio receiver.

This devise has all obligatory components of a usual radio set. It has an aerial, tuning unit, an amplifier and demodulator.

It is made from one nanotube one micron long and 10 nanometers in diameter. It means that diameter of this radio receiver in 10 thousand times less than human hairbreadth.
Inventors claim that they could listen easily to the musical compositions broadcasted by local FM-radio stations.

Theoretically this invention can be considered the beginning of new revolution in radio electronics sphere. Miniaturization of radio receivers is not a new phenomenon, but so significant spurt has taken place for the first time.
