The telescope for search of alien life forms
In 500 kilometers to the north from San Francisco, (California) started to work an unusual radiotelescope.
Its task - search of alien civilizations.
Telescope Allen Telescope Array (ATA) is named in honor of one of the Microsoft’s founders Paul Allen who has allocated 25 million dollars for creation of this tool. Now ATA consists of 42 aerials in diameter of 6 m, however it is planned to place 350, that demands additional investments in approximately 25 million dollars.
ATA uses two standard available on sale satellite “plates”. Received with their help data are processed by special noise filtration programs.
ATA founders hope to catch alive civilizations’ signals in the universe approximately to 2025г. It is expected also, that the telescope will help to collect the additional data on such phenomena as supernew stars, “black holes ” and various exotic astronomical objects, which existence is theoretically predicted, but was not observed in practice.
The center is under the joint management of Radio-astronomical laboratory of the Californian University in Berkeley and SETI Institute engaged in the search of alien life forms.
