US Air Forces research laboratory has developed the accumulator for mobile devices (laptop or a mobile phone) on the basis of radioactive radiation, which can work for 30 years without additional charge.

The principle of operation of the accumulator that the radioactive substance beams beta-radiation (electron stream), which then is caught by a silicon plate, and then the electric current is induced.

Developers assure, that their battery is absolutely harmless and nontoxic even after the ending of operation life (30 years).

It is planned, that such accumulators will be put into production within 2-3 years.
