Group of the international scientists, having studied carbon balance on several forest areas in the Western Europe, has come to a conclusion that the more nitrogen gets in a wood with precipitations, the higher is pure primary production of the given ecosystem and trees grow better.

As is known, nitrogen compounds which are evolved in an atmosphere by the industrial enterprises and transport, in result drop out with precipitations on the ground and to determine scales of this process, group of the experts studied woods in the Western Europe (Sweden, Finland, England, France and Italy).
It appeared that the more a wood gets nitrogen the higher is pure primary production.

It is obvious, that all surveyed woods want to some extent nitrogen. Experts mark that, certainly, it is not necessary to consider that pollution of an atmosphere and acid rains are the great blessing for woods and in general all vegetation, but nevertheless, some quantity of harmful substances promotes growth of trees.
