Invisible projection screen created
German company Woehburk will soon put on the market new projection screen CristalLine which features so high cleanliness and transparency that is almost invisible.
The projection screen looks as a very clean glass - its transparency can reach 91 %. Its distinctive feature is ability to create images floating in the air. At that the glass does not have framework - the screen looks as a display glass, hanging in fastenings or placed on a support.
Image can be seen only from the right side, and from the side of a projector glass still seems completely transparent and empty.
Such effect German experts managed to achieve due to a combination of several layers from High Gloss, a glass (usual or acryl) and special nano-structural ionic reflecting layer which is actually the screen. It is informed, that absence of structure seen by a naked eye allows to project on CristalLine pictures with resolution HDTV and higher.
It is planned, that CristalLine will be produced in various sizes, up to 135 inches diagonal.
